Trauma-Informed Legal Practice - 6 Principles for Client Care & More
Introduction
Presented by Psychological Trauma Consultant Dr Nicola Lester, this new virtual classroom seminar will support legal professionals of all levels to integrate a trauma-informed approach to their practice.
Embedding trauma-informed principles promotes a more empathetic, resilient, and professional environment so this course will help you better understand how trauma can impact clients, witnesses, and even yourself, leading to more effective and empathetic legal work.
Through a blend of foundational knowledge and practical skills, this workshop will equip you to recognise and account for the impact of trauma in your engagements with vulnerable or traumatised clients, adapt your approach to reduce the potential for re-traumatisation and to build effective client relationships, improving both legal outcomes, and your own wellbeing.
