Alternative Ways of Becoming a Parent - Parental Orders, Legal Parentage & Surrogacy Explored
Introduction
This virtual classroom seminar will explore the legal position in respect of surrogacy arrangements in the UK and the law and procedure regarding the parental order process required following a birth both in the UK and abroad.
The session will also explore the immigration issues arising out of a surrogacy arrangement abroad; to include the ways in which British nationality can be obtained and how to bring the child home from a foreign country.
It will also cover the proposed reforms to surrogacy laws in England and Wales and how this may impact the procedure going forward.
