Mary Cloonan

Mary Cloonan is a senior marketing and business development advisor with over twenty years’ experience supporting ambitious firms in the accountancy, legal, tax, and advisory sectors. She founded Marketing Clever, a specialist consultancy that works with managing partners and leadership teams in mid-sized professional services firms across the UK, Ireland and the US. Mary’s approach is practical and commercial, built on a deep understanding of how growth really happens in professional services through visibility, clarity of message, and consistent action. Before founding Marketing Clever in 2015, Mary held senior marketing roles in top firms, including Baker Tilly (now RSM Ireland), RBK Chartered Accountants, and fintech company Elavon. She has since worked in a fractional or advisory capacity with eight of Ireland’s top twenty accountancy firms and several HLB member firms. She continues to support clients across the UK and the US.
