Plastic Packaging Tax - Current Trends & Common Pitfalls
Introduction
Since Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) was introduced in the UK in April 2022, many businesses are still either not aware of their obligations or struggling to comply with the regime.
This webinar will introduce the key elements of PPT, as well as some common issues that you might encounter and areas of ambiguity that would be useful to be aware of. Consideration will also be given to current trends and HMRC’s expectations in terms of compliance and evidence.
Aimed at accountants, tax specialists and advisors to companies importing packaging materials or packaged goods into the UK, this webinar will provide you with practical advice on how to determine whether the plastic packaging you manufacture or import counts towards the 10 tonne per annum registration threshold, and whether it is taxable.
In addition, this webinar will provide further insight into the registration threshold, evidence requirements, pitfalls to avoid, and the differences between Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and PPT.
