Introduction

Tackling anti-social behaviour within social housing requires a specialised knowledge of the legal framework as set out in the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014; Housing Acts 1985 and 1988 and Equality Act 2010, in an ever changing political landscape.

Commencing legal action requires careful action considering the proportionality of all actions within a landlord’s legal toolkit taking into consideration Equality Act duties of social landlords.

The aim of this seminar is to explore in depth the legal framework in which social landlords can take action; the evidence that you will require to achieve a successful outcome by reference to relevant legislation and case law; and Civil Procedure Requirements.

This session will explore in detail the Equality Act duties of social landlords and how to put these into practice. It is suitable for legal representatives who represent social landlords and any involved in taking enforcement action on behalf of social landlords.
